METALSMITHING FOR JEWELRY ART

The maximum number of students in each session is 6 . This allows for close one-on-one attention expanding your comfort zone while assuring the completion of  your own design. You will  gain an excellent foundation to grow from.  You will be surprised how your design idea comes together coupled with a new heightened awareness that will allow you to never look at  jewelry the same way again!

You may be starting out for the first time, or feeling the need to move deeper into jewelry design from beading techniques or you just may feel the need for a brush up. Either way, there is a place for you!  Whether it is the 4-week workshop or a single custom class.

METALSMITHING 01 Beginners Workshop

A 4-session workshop meeting 1x per week for 3 hours each session

Class Meets: Evenings: 6:30P Wednesdays or Thursdays or 11A Saturday Mornings

Materials fee: $20

Cost : $175

The first session covers the essence of metal-smithing . The first class is important as it grounds you in understanding how various metals respond to heat and force.  To get you started we will  explore different mediums of jewelry art and design. In the following sessions your design will take form as you learn how to solder, saw, file, sand and create a final  finish for your design.

METALSMITHING 02 Beginner  to Intermediate Workshop

A 4-session workshop meeting 1x per week for 3 hours each session

Class Meets: Evenings: 6:30P Wednesdays or Thursdays or 11A Saturday Mornings

Cost : $175

Materials fee: $20

You will learn to expand on the basics by learning the techniques of surface enrichment, forming, 3D forms, and reticulation to name a few. You will employ one or more of these techiques in your design.

SINGLE SESSION/BENCH TIME

Session time is flexible.  3 hours per session limit

Dates: Classes are on going

Cost : $60 (cost of additional single classes or bench time is done on scale)

Undecided? You can start with a single class and if you want to continue you can add on additional classes at a discounted rate. Single classes are good for exploring, answering questions, brush up and bench time.

Materials: For the workshops there is a small materials fee that covers the cost of raw materials and the use of professional  tools. You will be provided with a list of inexpensive small tools (which you may already have).

Payment: Money orders or personal checks are accepted prior to the first session.
